Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper had a scary incident in Monday's game against the Mets in the second inning after getting kicked in the head by New York second baseman Eric Young Jr. Having drawn a leadoff walk, Harper went in hard at second base to break up a double play on Ian Desmond's grounder to third base. In that regard, Harper was successful, as Desmond beat Young's relay throw, but Harper stayed down for nearly a minute and went back to the dugout slowly with a trainer....

A ruling on Friday from U.S. District Judge Mary Rowland allows a defamation suit filed by Abimbola and Olabinjo Osundairo against attorney Tina Glandian to continue. The lawsuit will center around a specific comment made by Glandian during a 2019 Today show appearance, when she said that Chicago police failed to investigate a video where one of the brothers donned “whiteface doing a Joker monologue” as well as the idea that the brothers could have “put makeup on” to disguise their skin color, the Chicago Tribune reported....

The fatal accident took place at a Hardee’s location in Wilson, North Carolina. Speaking with witnesses, WRAL News reported that an SUV, driven by 78-year-old Jesse Lawrence, careened over a busy road, narrowly avoiding traffic, and hit the right side of the fast food restaurant, a little before 10 a.m. Lawrence reportedly plowed through two front windows and collided into the two brothers who were visiting the restaurant. The younger brother, 58-year-old Christopher Ruffin, was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities....
