Vasquez, 28, averaged 9.5 points, 3.7 assists and 2.6 rebounds coming off the bench for the Raptors last season. A first-round pick by the Grizzlies in 2010, Vasquez is the sort of low-risk acquisition the Bucks sought to fortify their bench.
Vasquez brings a veteran presence to the young Bucks, who hope they’ll be in position to contend for a championship by 2017. Milwaukee also added UNLV guard Rashad Vaughn with the No. 17 overall pick, adding to a roster than already features Giannis Antetokounmpo and last year’s top pick, Jabari Parker.
The Raptors, who have the No. 20 pick in the first round, did not have a second-rounder entering the draft.
