Buccaneers quarterback Winston entered Sunday’s game after a tough Week 3 loss to the New York Giants, where Tampa Bay had an 18-point half-time lead but wound up losing by one point.

Winston was quick to point out that was not the case, despite the Rams last-ditch efforts at LA Memorial Coliseum on Sunday.

“We finished,” the fifth-year quarterback told reporters.

Winston was 28-of-41 passing for 385 yards and four touchdowns in the Buccaneers’ second win of the season.

He also threw two interceptions with one returned for a pick-six late in the fourth quarter.

Rams cornerback Marcus Peters had a 32-yard interception returned for a touchdown to bring Los Angeles within five points.

But another big play on defence, this time by former-Ram-turned-Buc Ndamukong Suh, sealed the victory.

Winston wants to make sure the team remain on an even keel when the Buccaneers enter their Week 5 matchup in New Orleans against the Saints.
