Bryant bashed a 403-foot home run in the first inning to reach the milestone. He finished the game with two hits, two runs scored and two RBIs.

Bryant became the 22nd player in Cubs history to reach 100 career home runs, and the quickest to do so by games played. Bryant achieved the feat in just 487 games, while Ernie Banks needed 500 games.

Anthony Rizzo led the Cubs with three hits, a home run, five RBIs and two runs scored. Chicago scored eight runs in the third inning alone Wednesday with Rizzo and Addison Russell hitting home runs.

The Cubs (19-15) completed the sweep to move just one game back in the National League (NL) Central, but are still fourth in the division.

CLASSY CARRASCO

Indians starter Carlos Carrasco struck out 14 Brewers in a five-hit shutout to help Cleveland earn a 6-2 win. The win helped Carrasco improve to 5-1 with a 3.61 ERA this season.

In a losing effort, 26-year-old White Sox outfielder Daniel Palka had a breakout game, collecting three hits with two runs scored, a home run, two RBIs, a walk and a stolen base but Chicago fell 6-5 to the Pirates.

ROCKIES’ HOME WOES CONTINUE

Normally one of the most dominant teams at home, thanks to the friendly confines of Coors Field, Colorado fell to just 6-8 at home after losing 8-0 to the Angels. The Rockies went 0 for 12 with runners in scoring position on Wednesday.

MAZARA BLASTS WALK-OFF HOMER

Nomar Mazara hit a walk-off home run.

He hit two home runs to help the Rangers to a 5-4 win over the Tigers.
